Wolaco Training Shorts Review

When it comes to training apparel...I'm all about function.

So when a training apparel company by the name of "Wolaco" contacted me to test out one of their products, I immediately wanted to know if what they had could stand up to the kind of insane training that I do.

I chose a pair of basic black shorts, called Warren Shorts, to test out (they do have compression shorts as well).

I've been wearing these shorts for the past month for all my training and, I have to say, they absolutely stand up to the training I do.

The material is a combination of polyester and spandex, so it actually has a nice give to it and it wicks moisture away. I actually find when I'm doing squats, it doesn't "catch" on my legs like regular cloth shorts do. And while that didn't affect the weight I could use, it was annoying...this fixed that problem.

What I really like is the sweat-proof zippered pocket on the side (in addition to two regular pockets)....when I'm outside doing heavy loaded carries for distance in the heat, having a sweatproof pocket is essential. I'm usually soaked by the time I'm done but my phone is not. I have an iPhone 7 (big size) and it fits into this pocket perfectly.

When I do carries through my neighborhood like that, I don't wear headphones or ear pods or whatever the kids call them today ;)... I need to hear when cars are coming up on me so I can move off to the side of the street, so I just turn on the music and put the phone in my pocket. This side pocket works GREAT for that purpose.

Their other stuff (shorts, tights, etc.) also features this type of zipper pocket.

Overall, I like these a lot. I'm no style icon, but I think they look good and they're definitely functional.

If you're interested in getting some really well-made, functional training, I would definitely recommend Wolaco stuff.
