QUESTION:
Does the Metabolic Surge program require strict calorie
counting?
ANSWER:
Not at all! In fact, it's the first highly-effective fat loss program that I've
found that doesn't actually require strict calorie counting to work and work
very well.
The
training and nutritional techniques found in the program (such as Fat-Loss Circuit
Training, Macronutrient Rotation and Lactic Acid Training) will take care of boosting
your metabolism so that you don't need to focus on measuring and weighing everything
you eat.
If you
do prefer to count calories and find you get better results that way, however,
I've also included in the program not only advice on how to go about it but also
specific ranges of caloric intake based on your gender and bodyweight to get the
best results.
The
information is there if you need but it is definitely NOT necessary to count calories
on the Metabolic Surge program and still have it work effectively
QUESTION: Does this
program require that I go to a gym or can I do the program
effectively at home?
ANSWER:
The "Metabolic Surge" program can be done very effectively at
home. Naturally, the more equipment you have access to, the more variety of
exercises you'll be able to do during the program but it's certainly NOT a requirement
that you go to the gym.
The
training program in the book lays it all out in a very easy-to-understand fashion,
organizing the training sessions by bodypart, number of sets and reps, and specific
training techniques.
All
you have to do is determine which exercise you'd like to use, selecting from any
of the ones you have available to you at home. This could be bodyweight lunges,
push-ups, bench dips or any others that you know!
If
you have a simple set of dumbells and/or a bench, you can greatly increase the
number of exercises you can do as well.
QUESTION:
What happens after the program
is done? Is there going to be rebound weight gain?
ANSWER:
Absolutely not! In fact, I
and many others have actually experienced CONTINUED fat loss even after
the program is done! The training involved in the program in unique amongst fat
loss programs in that it actually makes your metabolism go FASTER as you go through
the program, rather than simply trying to fight it's slowing down.
By
the time you're finishing with the 36-day program, your metabolism will be cranking
so strongly, you can go back to eating normally (but still healthy) and actually
KEEP losing fat.
Also,
even though this program does utilizes low-carb eating at time, it completely
avoids the problem of rebound weight gain typically associated with coming off
a low-carb diet. In this program, you will actually use that rebound to your advantage
to build muscle! This is something not found in ANY other fat loss program.

Is this program useful for
older adults? I'm in my 50's and I'm not
sure I will get results.

Is this program useful for
female trainers? You mention the program
works to build muscle - I don't want large muscles but I do want better shape
and tone.

what will happen, being female, when you use the program, your bodyfat levels
will come down while your shape improves dramatically. You won't develop large
muscles - only lean, shapely, sculpted muscles.

gradually build you up to the point where you're able to handle the scaled-down
version of the main program, called Level 1 Training.

QUESTION:
Is this program easy to fit
into my schedule? I only have access to a gym during the week, not
on weekends.
ANSWER:
This program is very easy to fit into practically ANY schedule. The training
sessions are not any longer than pretty much anything you're doing already (maybe
shorter, even!) and the training frequency is not unreasonable (around 5 days
a week, depending on the phase you're on).

QUESTION:
Can I just
follow the nutritional program and still get results? I'm not sure
I'm ready for the exercise portion yet.
ANSWER:
Even just following the nutritional aspect of the Metabolic Surge program
will get you fast results. Quite a lot of the power of this program lies in the
very specific nutrient patterns I will lay out for you. These eating patterns
will help your body to preferentially burn fat for energy but also help you hold
onto your muscle mass. Holding onto muscle is CRITICAL for achieving long-lasting
fat loss results. Any program that doesn't address this component is doomed to
long-term failure.

will even still be able to continue to eat the foods you love - just at very specific
